Jayme practises in insurance regulatory and corporate/commercial law. Her insurance regulatory work focuses on regulatory compliance and market conduct, and includes multi-jurisdictional comparative reviews of provincial and territorial requirements. Jayme also works on a range of corporate and commercial matters, including incorporations, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and commercial agreements.
Jayme completed two summer terms and her articles with Walker Sorensen before joining the firm as an associate. Through that experience, she has gained a strong grounding in the Canadian insurance regulatory framework and considerable familiarity with the differing regulatory requirements applicable across Canada. Her work has involved Canadian and foreign insurers, managing general agents and other insurance intermediaries.
Jayme graduated from Queen’s University Faculty of Law in 2025, where she distinguished herself through extensive involvement in advocacy, leadership and experiential learning. She served on the Law Students’ Society for two academic years and co-founded the Queen’s Law Moot Society, home of the annual Cromwell Moot. She was a finalist in the Hicks Morley Labour Law Moot in her first year and, in her second year, competed as an oralist in the Laskin Moot, where her team received the second-place factum award. In her final year, Jayme transitioned from competitor to coach, leading the Queen’s Laskin Moot team and re-establishing the Queen’s Pre-Law Society moot team, which she coached for the Osgoode Cup. She also volunteered with the Queen’s First Generation Network.
Prior to law school, Jayme worked in hospitality, holding roles as an operator, butler, and event coordinator at a five-star hotel in Toronto, as well as a deck stewardess aboard a private yacht.
