On January 14, 2016, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) released a Guide for property and casualty mutual insurance companies that have both mutual and non-mutual policyholders, which describes the relevant regulatory requirements for demutualization and sets out the information that must be provided to OSFI at each phase of the demutualization process.
